While playing Counter-Strike 2 on Steam, I received an unfair ban caused by an in-game manipulation during a competitive match.
During the match, when the score was 11–2, I threw a Molotov cocktail toward a pathway as a defensive measure against the enemy team. However, one of my teammates deliberately walked into the Molotov and died on purpose.
The system incorrectly interpreted this as me intentionally harming a teammate and automatically issued a 2-hour ban on my account.
I want to make it clear that I had no intention of damaging my teammate or sabotaging the match. Unfortunately, the system failed to distinguish between intentional griefing by a teammate and a normal gameplay action, which resulted in me being unfairly penalized.
After this incident, I submitted multiple support requests explaining the situation in detail, but I only received generic responses containing general rule explanations, without any real investigation or resolution.
My explanations about what actually happened appear to have been ignored, and I feel that my reports were dismissed with automated replies instead of being properly reviewed.
I request that the ban I received be removed and that my account and the specific match in question be reviewed in detail.
Additionally, due to both the unjust penalty and the lack of serious attention during the support process, I request a clear apology from Steam and the Counter-Strike 2 team.
