Scribd Charged Me $11.90 Without Permission – I Don’t Even Remember Using It

I was shocked to see that on April 8, 2025, Scribd charged $11.90 to my account—without my knowledge or consent. The thing is, I don’t even remember signing up for Scribd, let alone authorizing any kind of payment. I haven’t used the service, and I certainly didn’t agree to a subscription.

This charge was completely unexpected and feels like unauthorized billing. If Scribd enrolled me in a subscription automatically after a trial or without proper notice, that’s not acceptable. I should have received a clear notification or warning before any charge.

I’m requesting an immediate refund of the $11.90 and for this issue to be looked into. Scribd, please cancel any active subscription and make sure this doesn’t happen again.
