I purchased my Samsung UE50TU8000U 125 cm TV on February 22, 2021, and before it even completed one year, it developed a panel malfunction. I called the service under warranty, but instead of replacing the product with a new one, they replaced the panel with one imported from abroad. At that time, no fee was charged. About a year after the panel replacement, in 2023, the TV began experiencing intermittent screen flickering issues. Initially, this problem occurred rarely, but throughout 2024 it became more frequent. Finally, on October 29, 2025, the TV completely stopped working—it no longer turns on, and even the light doesn’t come on. When I contacted Samsung’s authorized service today, I was told that since the warranty had expired, I would need to pay about $24 USD for diagnosis, plus additional charges depending on the repair. However, my TV, despite being purchased brand new, had a panel defect within its first year, and later the screen issues became chronic. I have experienced two major malfunctions in just three years, which I believe has caused significant consumer hardship. I request that this TV, which I purchased trusting the Samsung brand, be repaired free of charge or replaced with the same or an equivalent model due to these ongoing chronic faults.
