My Samsung refrigerator model RT46K6000WW, purchased in 2019, failed to cool both the upper and lower compartments in 2021. Everything inside melted and spoiled. After contacting Samsung service, it was determined that the motor and compressor in the back needed to be replaced, which was completed. However, on November 3, 2023, the same problem reoccurred, and all of the contents inside spoiled once more. Because of the previous issue, a smell developed inside the refrigerator, which grew stronger this time. The juices from the thawed meat seeped into the refrigerator.
When I contacted Samsung service, they mentioned the need to replace the parts again, but they also warned of potential worm infestations in the future that could damage the products due to the meat juices seeping inside the refrigerator. As a result, it was suggested that you apply for a replacement. When I applied for a replacement with Samsung, they offered to replace the model with RT47CG6002WWTR for 15,000 but offered a replacement for 13,500, stating that my current refrigerator would also be accepted. After declining this offer, they stated that the center would reevaluate the situation. Later, however, they proposed a refrigerator priced at 30,000 at the same price.
I would like a replacement refrigerator of the same brand, and the price should not be reduced by only 1,500, but by a much better offer. If this request is not met, I will file a case with the Consumer Court, demanding that this issue be resolved as soon as possible.
