Samsung 55NU7100 TV Screen Issue After Only 5 Years

Towards the end of 2019, I purchased a Samsung 55NU7100 television, and all of a sudden, the screen darkened to an incredible extent. Even though nothing hit the screen, out of nowhere, half of the display basically disappeared. After doing some research online, I found out that this is a known chronic issue related to the LEDs and that many other users have experienced the same problem. Honestly, such a malfunction is unacceptable in a high-end device that is only five years old. We paid a significant amount of money just to get a Samsung product and the 55-inch model, and now look — half the screen is gone. From what I’ve read in other users’ comments, strangely enough, this issue always seems to occur right after the warranty expires, and despite it being a common defect, people still have to pay for the repair themselves. I’m sorry, but since when has the lifespan of a Samsung television or home appliance become just five years? If our newly purchased Samsung products are going to fail over the smallest issue, then what exactly did we pay all that money for? Long story short, I am demanding that my grievance be resolved, as this is my most natural right — I have seen absolutely none of the quality I expected. This product now falls into the category of “definitely would not recommend.” I am very curious to see what kind of customer support Samsung will provide in this matter, and if there are any updates, I will be sure to share them.
One day after I entered my contact number, customer service contacted me, but the only thing they said was, 'Would you like us to send a service technician?' When I asked if I would have to pay for the service and repair, and mentioned that this is a chronic issue, they said, 'Unfortunately, we can't say anything about whether it is chronic or not.' So, as you can see, writing a complaint didn't change anything. If I had to pay out of my own pocket, I could have just searched for the service online and requested them to come anyway. I would like to thank Samsung for producing devices that become completely useless within five years and for teaching me a valuable lesson to never buy Samsung again.
