Ryanair Staff is Not Aware Of Travel Requirements For Non-EU Citizens

I had a Ryanair flight from Cluj (Romania) to Dublin on June 9, 2024. Unfortunately, the staff at the check-in counter was highly unfriendly to non-EU citizens and were unaware of the visa requirements for Ireland residents and minors traveling with parents. It was a particularly unpleasant experience for my 9-year-old daughter, who thought she couldn't fly with us due to the staff's interactions. The staff member was unaware of how to check the start vs. expiry date of a Schengen visa and the requirements to travel to Ireland. She even asked unrelated questions, such as whether we had a British visa.

Unfortunately, the same staff member was present before we boarded the plane, and she asked us to leave the queue to check the requirements. I also have complaints about Ryanair for not having the travel information for non-EU citizens and minors in their system, which caused further confusion for the staff. We became really upset and showed her the citizen information website, which she impolitely ignored. After several minutes, she finally let us board the plane, although I know she didn't find any information.

This was the worst flight experience for the whole family!
