Remington HC-588 Trimmer Spare Part Supply Problem

I bought the Remington HC-5880 trimmer several years ago and somehow lost the finest attachment (apparently number 3). After that, I sent an email to the website's address, asking how to replace it. Nobody spoke up. I finally got through to their call center after three weeks. They discovered my previous email and informed me that it had most likely been routed to the incorrect department and that they would forward it to the correct location. However, I have yet to receive a response. I'm baffled as to how such a well-known brand can provide such indifferent and negligent service. I'm not asking for a free part, but it seems absurd to buy a new trimmer when the old one is in excellent condition. Can a spare part request be so complicated?
