Reddit r/Place Needs Stronger Pixel Protection and Fairer Timer Rules
May 3, 2025 12:39 PM9

I want to file a complaint about the Reddit r/Place feature. The way it is currently set up is extremely frustrating and unfair for users who want to create something meaningful.

There is no solid canvas foundation and it feels like any artwork is destroyed almost immediately.

Even if you manage to build something, it is usually gone within a single day.

There is also no proper pixel timer system. Without a delay, people can spam and ruin the creations instantly.

What I am asking for is simple: set a fair pixel cooldown timer, ideally between 5–10 seconds. This would give players enough time to participate without letting vandalism take over so easily.

If Reddit wants r/Place to be a true community art project, it should provide better protections for users’ contributions and ensure that people’s hard work isn’t erased right away. Please update the rules so that users can enjoy the feature fairly.
