Promova Charged Me Twice Without Consent After I Canceled My Subscription

In November 2024, I downloaded the Promova app and started the free trial to see if it was right for me. I tested it briefly, didn’t like the experience, and canceled my subscription shortly afterward. Despite this, Promova charged me ₺1717 from my account. I immediately disputed the charge, and thankfully, it was refunded.

However, on 05.11.2024, they charged me again without any notification or authorization. Fortunately, my card was locked for online payments at that point, so they couldn’t take the money. I only found out when I received a message saying “Payment failed.”

I did some digging with my bank and discovered that Promova was behind the unauthorized transaction attempts. I never agreed to renew my subscription, yet they tried to charge me again. As a result, I had to cancel my credit card altogether just to protect myself from further unauthorized charges.

This behavior is unacceptable. I demand the immediate return of any money charged without my consent and a clear explanation as to how my canceled subscription was reactivated without permission.
