I recently installed Planet VPN and shortly after, I began receiving Google alerts that my account was being accessed from places like Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan. At first, I assumed these warnings were normal because I was using a VPN.
But over time, it became clear this was not just location masking—my actual accounts were being compromised. Someone gained access to my Netflix, PlayStation, and Steam accounts. The final straw was when I even received a phone call from Japan, which I did not answer.
I immediately suspected Planet VPN, deleted it, and went through the trouble of changing all my passwords. Since then, the suspicious logins have stopped.
What shocks me most is that nobody warns users that Planet VPN could behave like malware. It acts more like a security threat than a privacy tool, putting sensitive accounts and personal data at risk.
I urge others to stay away from this service, and I call on Planet VPN’s operators to explain how this kind of data breach is possible. Users deserve account security, transparency, and accountability—not stolen logins and international harassment.
