I purchased a pair of Adidas Superstar sneakers through the Adidas mobile app in December. Because it was winter, I did not wear the shoes very often and had the opportunity to use them only 3–4 times on sunny days.
Despite this very limited use, the outer leather on the right shoe began to peel significantly. I did not use any chemical cleaning products on the shoes. I only cleaned them with a soft, damp cloth.
In addition, I actively use Superstar sneakers in different colors and models, and I have never experienced a similar problem with any of them.
After noticing the issue, I contacted Adidas and sent the product in for inspection. However, the shoes were returned to me with no concrete explanation, and I was simply told that the damage was due to “user error.”
This situation has seriously shaken my confidence both in the product quality and in the inspection process. I do not believe that such severe damage should occur after such limited use and careful maintenance.
I request that Adidas replace the defective pair of shoes, resolve the inconvenience I experienced, or issue a refund if replacement is not possible. In addition, because of the frustrating experience I went through during this process, I would also appreciate a goodwill discount coupon as a gesture of customer care.
