Component Failure in Philips XC8049 Vacuum Cleaner

Hello, I've had the Philips XC8049 vertical vacuum cleaner for 8 months and have had a common problem with the plastic on the top of the pipe breaking. When I contacted Philips for help, I received no response. They referred me to their service department, which informed me that the product was no longer under warranty and demanded a 700 TL repair fee for the plastic part alone. This issue is clearly the result of a manufacturing flaw with the product, but it is not covered under warranty as part of their goodwill policy. This has left me disappointed with the Philips vacuum cleaner's durability as well as their customer service, as I expected better support for a product that clearly has a manufacturing flaw.
