Charged for Return Shipping on "Free Shipping" Birdcage Order from Pet Smart

I ordered a birdcage from Pet Smart’s website, which advertised "free shipping." However, when the cage arrived, it didn’t meet the specifications I needed, so I requested a return. Pet Smart provided a return shipping number, and I sent the item back. To my surprise, they deducted the shipping cost from my refund, despite their "free shipping" claim. When I called to address this, I was met with aggressive and dismissive responses from customer service. According to consumer protection laws, if "free shipping" is advertised, there should be no deduction for return shipping. Despite explaining this, they maintained their stance. I expect Pet Smart to honor their policy and refund the full amount without any deductions.
