Pegasus Airlines Promised Taxi Payment But Didn't
On October 2, 2023, there were four delays announced for the Pegasus flight (PC2218) from Sabiha Gökçen to Izmir, scheduled for 7:05 p.m. It was quite inconvenient, and we ended up departing late. Given the delay, we requested compensation for the taxi fare. They instructed us to obtain an invoice, send an email and assured us they would reimburse us. However, they failed to honor their promise. Upon arrival, I hurried to catch the last Izban bus and alighted at a stop close to my home, continuing the journey by taxi from there. I sent an email, but they still haven't paid. Interestingly, while other flights to Izmir, Marmaris, and Samsun provided snacks and had long lines at the rotors, Pegasus did not offer any refreshments. It was a bit disappointing. I hope they address these issues and improve their services. It's a shame that the female officer there seemed overwhelmed, and I understand she might not have much say in these matters.
They said they would pay, but they didn't. We took the last İzban from the airport to a place, and from there I took a taxi home. Actually, I had suggested it with good intentions to avoid much expense. Anyway, if we had taken a taxi from the airport, the bill would have been even higher. The woman in the video was asked, and she said that when there are so many delays and no public transportation is available, the taxi fare is covered. Maybe she is mistaken, but tell them that they don't pay for the taxi fare if you're late... It's not nice to be misinformed.
