Pegasus Flight Cancellation (SAW-SHJ) & Long Delay
On April 19, 2024, Saturday at 00:50 (Sabiha Gökçen - Sharjah), we had a flight with Pegasus. Arriving at the airport three hours early, we went through all procedures and passport control, only to find out our flight was canceled via a non-functional link message. The flight was rescheduled for 6 hours and 10 minutes later. At the Pegasus desk, crowded with other passengers, no representatives assisted us. After standing for 2-3 hours, they offered a hotel stay, but the short time available made it impractical. Meal options they provided were mostly closed or lacking food. The delay exceeded 6 hours, no compensation was given. We had to buy water as they didn't provide any, and despite contacting customer service, we were only advised to keep receipts for expenses. We followed their instructions, keeping receipts for water and other purchases. Eventually, a bus arrived at 07:45, but we were told to disembark due to possible flight cancellation. After a brief wait, we were allowed back on the bus, and the plane departed at 08:30 after a lengthy wait onboard due to Iran's airspace closure. Upon return, I contacted Pegasus for compensation, but they cited weather conditions and denied my claim. I demand my compensation rights and reimbursement for incurred losses.
