Hello, I purchased a ticket from Pegasus Airlines for the London - Istanbul flight on 02.01.2024 at 23:15. I completed the online check-in approximately 5-6 hours before the flight; perhaps it was more, but I don't recall exactly. In any case, I knew the door number and seat of my flight, and the door opening time was 22:15. The closing time was 22:55, but the crucial point was that I was at the airport before the gate opening time.
At 22:10 (Stansted Airport), I went to the counter for baggage delivery, and what did I find? There was not a single official or employee from Pegasus Airlines. No one. The company had closed up shop and left. I searched the airport from beginning to end, but I did not find a single Pegasus Airlines employee. I approached an airport information counter and, thanks to a helpful lady, attempted to seek assistance. She made a call, but there was no financial help, no employee. Naturally, as you might expect, the plane departed, leaving me no choice but to buy another plane ticket for the next day.
That night, I booked a hotel room next to the airport for one night. I incurred expenses not only for the hotel but also missed my orientation in Istanbul. I contacted Pegasus Airlines to file my complaint, and their response was that there was nothing to be done; I missed the flight. I have never witnessed such shamelessness. I apologize; I am not someone traveling abroad for the first time. I've had more than 10 international trips so far, all with Pegasus Airlines. However, if my grievances are not addressed, I will neither use Pegasus Airlines nor recommend it to my wife or friends.
