I am writing to report an unauthorized annual subscription charge by Files-Editor.com / PDFCharge and to request a full refund of this amount. On around 7 February 2026, I subscribed to a 3‑day trial on files-editor.com and used the service only once to convert a Word document to PDF. After that single use, I did not continue to use the service and I did not knowingly agree to any paid subscription. On 30 March 2026, when I wanted to use the service again for one try, the system subscribed me to an annual plan without clearly informing me that I was committing to a full‑year subscription or showing me the annual price on the screen. As a result, an amount of P3670.44 BWP was charged to my FNB bank card as an online purchase, and it is currently shown as pending on my account, even though the money is already deducted from my available balance. I contacted my bank, First National Bank (FNB), and they informed me that I needed to contact the merchant. I then reached out to Files-Editor/PDFCharge by email. In their reply, a support agent named Allen stated that I had initially subscribed to the 3‑day trial, that it later tried to renew as a monthly subscription unsuccessfully, and that afterwards an annual subscription was “activated from my side.” As a so‑called solution, they upgraded my account to a “Lifetime Free” plan with no further payments. I clearly do not need a Lifetime Free plan and did not intend to purchase an annual subscription in the first place; I only wanted a one‑time use, and I was not properly informed or warned that I was subscribing for a whole year. I consider this annual charge of P3670.44 BWP to be against my wishes and not clearly consented to. I therefore request the immediate cancellation of this annual subscription and a full refund of the charged amount to my FNB card. I also request written confirmation that no further charges will be made to my card and that my account will not be renewed automatically in the future. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly and in good faith, as I feel I have been charged for a service in a way that was not transparent to me.
