I used PDFE.com on January 23, 2026, only for a one-time file conversion and did not at any point intend to purchase or agree to a yearly subscription. Despite this, on January 30, 2026, a yearly subscription fee was charged to my credit card, which I discovered with surprise as I had not knowingly approved any recurring payment. After noticing the charge, I contacted PDFE.com support at [email protected]. Initially, they claimed that the terms and conditions were clear, even though no such terms or subscription information were clearly presented to me during my one-time use of the service. Later, they offered a 50% refund, which I find unacceptable, as I never wanted or knowingly accepted a yearly subscription in the first place. During this entire time, I did not receive any email or other communication from PDFE.com informing me about a subscription, introducing the service, sending reminders, or providing community or account-related information. An honest and transparent service would normally send clear emails about the start of a subscription, upcoming renewals, and how to manage or cancel the account, which never happened in my case. I consider this practice misleading and feel that PDFE.com is using this as a method to charge users for subscriptions they did not consciously choose. In a transparent and honest setup, this situation would not have occurred, and no user would be subscribed without clear, explicit consent. I request the full refund of the yearly subscription amount that was charged to my credit card on January 30, 2026, and the immediate cancellation of any subscription linked to my account or card so that no further unwanted charges are made.
