I am writing to file a complaint against pdfe.com regarding the way its 7-day trial offer was presented and subsequently billed. When I signed up for the service, the trial was displayed in a manner that I believe was misleading and deceptive. At no point was it clearly and prominently communicated that the trial would automatically convert into a paid subscription costing $61 upon expiration. This type of billing practice does not align with reasonable consumer expectations or the principle of informed consent.
On November 15, 2025, I was charged $1 for the 7-day trial and an additional $1 for a “24/7 Support” add-on using my Visa credit card. Then, on November 22, 2025, immediately after the trial period ended, my card was charged $61 for a subscription. I did not knowingly agree to such a substantial automatic renewal fee, nor was the charge presented in a manner that would allow an average consumer to clearly understand the financial commitment involved.
After noticing the charge, I contacted pdfe.com customer support. I received a standard response stating that the subscription terms, automatic renewal conditions, and monthly pricing had been disclosed during registration and that the charges were therefore valid. However, I strongly disagree with this position. The information was not displayed with sufficient clarity, prominence, or transparency, particularly given the large difference between the low-cost trial and the subsequent $61 subscription fee.
I believe this practice is unfair, misleading, and inconsistent with transparent consumer billing standards. As a result, I do not consider the $61 charge to have been authorized through informed consent.
I therefore request a full refund of the $61 subscription fee charged on November 22, 2025, to my Visa credit card. I also request written confirmation that my subscription has been canceled and that no further charges will be applied to my account. I respectfully ask that this matter be reviewed urgently and that my refund be processed as soon as possible.
