I Face Unauthorized ₺2200 Charge From Pdfe.com After Misleading Free Offer
On July 8, 2025, I visited Pdfe.com to download a PDF document. The site clearly displayed the word “free,” yet at the end of the process I was asked to pay ₺45. I accepted the payment in order to complete the download, but this also required me to save my card details in their system. A month later, on August 15, 2025, I was shocked to discover an unauthorized charge of ₺2200 on my credit card statement without any prior notice, approval, or subscription agreement.
At no point did Pdfe.com request my consent for a subscription, nor did they provide proper billing transparency. I immediately contacted the company by email, but my refund request was rejected. Worse, the protocol they sent in response did not even mention a fee of this amount, which makes the transaction both misleading and unlawful.
My demands are very clear:
Immediate refund of all charges, especially the unauthorized ₺2200
Permanent cancellation of my account and subscription
Deletion of all my personal and card information from their system
If these demands are not met promptly, I have already initiated a chargeback process through my bank and will escalate the issue to the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committee and the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net).
This practice of charging hidden fees without consent is unacceptable, and I expect Pdfe.com to resolve this matter immediately.
