Unauthorized Pdfaid Subscription Charge Appeared on My Card
On 02/26/2026, I made a payment of approximately $2 through the website pdfaid for the sole purpose of downloading a single document. During the payment process, I did not see any warning, checkbox, or information regarding a subscription, recurring billing, or automatic renewal. I was only informed that I would pay approximately $2 for a one-time transaction.
However, on 02/28/2026, another charge of approximately $31 was withdrawn from my Garanti Bank card with the description “SGT*thepdfaid” without my knowledge or approval. I never requested, approved, or signed up for any subscription or recurring membership, and I do not accept this charge under any circumstances. This payment was clearly taken without my consent or authorization.
As soon as I noticed the transaction, I contacted pdfaid by email and informed them that the charge was unauthorized and disputed the payment. However, I still have not received any response. I have not yet contacted my bank, but I am also considering officially starting a dispute process for this transaction.
I demand a full refund of the approximately $31 withdrawn from my card without my knowledge and request the immediate cancellation of any subscription or membership that may have been created in my name.
