I Confront Unauthorized ₺3996 Subscription Charges From Pdfaid After One-Time Use

On April 16, 2025, I purchased a one-time service from the Pdfaid website and paid ₺79. During the payment process, I could clearly see the subscription package prices, but I never signed up for any membership. To be extra cautious, I even used my Garanti Bank debit card, which I rarely use and only keep with a small balance, because I did not fully trust the platform.

Despite this, starting from April 24, repeated withdrawals of ₺999 were taken from my account every month without my knowledge or consent. By July 16, a total of four unauthorized payments had been collected, adding up to ₺3996. At no point during the purchase process was I informed that an automatic subscription would begin or that I would be charged ₺999 monthly. Only later, when checking my emails, did I find a small note stating that “after 7 days an automatic subscription begins, and a monthly ₺999 fee will be charged.” This information was never clearly displayed during checkout and I certainly never gave approval.

I had no idea that a subscription was created in my name, as I only wanted a simple one-time file conversion. I never used any additional services. On August 13, I canceled the so-called subscription myself once I realized what was happening.

I am demanding a full refund of the unauthorized ₺3996 taken from my account and expect Pdfaid to correct this unfair practice. No company should activate a hidden subscription without clear user consent. I want my money returned immediately and this issue resolved as soon as possible.
