On September 3, 2025, I purchased Parodontax Gum + Sensitivity toothpaste from a market and used it 4–5 times. After my last use, later that night, I experienced intense sensitivity inside my lower and upper lips, an unusual taste, swelling in my lips, irritation and dark redness throughout my gums, pain in my palate, and swelling in the lymph nodes under my jaw. I immediately stopped using the product.
From my research, I learned that the ingredient stannous fluoride in the product may be an allergen. I had never experienced any issues with toothpastes that did not contain stannous fluoride. For a product that is so widely sold and among the most expensive on the market, I believe that less allergenic ingredients should be preferred. People may choose this product believing it to be high quality, but I think everyone should be informed about the presence of stannous fluoride.
In particular, serious effects such as swelling of the lymph nodes should not be overlooked, and consumers should be more clearly warned about this. I am not seeking any refund or compensation; however, I expect the brand to be more careful in this matter and to include explicit warnings regarding its ingredients, so that individuals with similar sensitivities are not put at risk.
