Oral-B Refused to Repair My Genius X White Toothbrush
Oral-B claims “If you’re not satisfied, we’ll refund your money within 30 days,” but when the product malfunctions, they don’t provide any spare parts for repairs. On 19.01.2023, I bought the Oral-B Genius X White electric toothbrush for both myself and my spouse. Strangely enough, both products broke down one after the other. We contacted customer service and got the details for the authorized service center. Today, I went to 'Düzgün Ticaret', the service center located in Adana. They informed me that if the product is still under warranty, it gets replaced, but if the warranty has expired, Oral-B doesn’t send spare parts and they simply sell a new product to the customer. When I purchased the toothbrush, it cost nearly one-fourth of today’s market price. If we are expected to buy a new one every 2–3 years, then owning an electric toothbrush becomes an unnecessarily expensive burden. Spending ₺4,000 every few years is unreasonable—who can afford that? I want to have the product repaired, but they say no parts are available. The warranty is only 2 years. What kind of cycle is this? If the product can’t be repaired, why is it sold at such high prices in the first place?
