Nine West Refused Warranty for Defective Bag

About one and a half months ago, I purchased the Nine West Gardaya 5FX women’s shoulder bag for $40 through Nine West’s official online store (Order No: FEA2025002666292). I have not used the bag regularly, but two weeks ago, I noticed that the leather on the sides had started to crack and tear. Experiencing such a defect after such a short period and minimal use was very surprising.
When I noticed the problem, I contacted customer service, who asked me to take the product to the store for inspection. After the inspection, I received a message stating that “no defect was found.” I then visited the store again and requested that photos of the product be uploaded to the system for a second review. However, the second inspection produced the same result — “no defect found.” When I reported this again to customer service, I was rudely told, “Whatever message you received is the final result; we can’t help you further.”
Considering that this is a casual model and has been barely used, the wear and tear cannot possibly be caused by user error. My refund request was rejected because the 30-day return period had expired, but the 60-day exchange period is still valid. Therefore, I request that the product be exchanged and that I receive a prompt response from an authorized department.
