On 15.12.2025 between 11:00 and 12:00, I made two separate transfers of 2,800 euros each, for a total of 5,600 euros, from my personal account at ABN Amro Bank in the Netherlands to my personal account at Yapı Kredi Bank in Turkey via Remitly. Although both transfers appear as “completed” in the Remitly application, when I log in to my Yapı Kredi mobile banking, I see that no money has been credited to my account. After noticing this situation, I first contacted Yapı Kredi. They informed me that there was no incoming or pending transfer in their system. I then contacted Remitly multiple times. Remitly told me that the funds were shown as delivered to Yapı Kredi Bank, shared the transaction numbers with me, and stated that they had sent an e-mail to the bank and initiated an investigation. However, in my subsequent calls with Yapı Kredi, the bank again stated that there was still no record of any transfer. Remitly, on the other hand, only told me that I had to wait for the bank’s response and that they could neither cancel the transactions nor retrieve the funds. At this point, neither Remitly nor Yapı Kredi is providing a clear and definite explanation, and the current whereabouts of my money are unknown. Remitly states that the recipient allegedly claims not to have received the funds, but I am the recipient, and the money has not been credited to my own account. Although I have made transfers via Remitly many times before, this was the first time I sent such a high amount, and I have been seriously aggrieved. I spent my entire day communicating with the bank and Remitly, yet the funds have still not reached my account. I did not receive any information from Yapı Kredi regarding these transactions. Upon my request, Remitly sent me an email confirming that the transfer had been made and also sent an email to Yapı Kredi stating that the funds had been transferred to the bank. I request that the total amount of 5,600 euros be credited in full to my account at Yapı Kredi Bank as soon as possible. If this is not possible, I demand that the entire amount be refunded in full to my ABN Amro account in the Netherlands. In addition, I ask for a clear, precise, and written explanation of the cause of this delay and uncertainty. The Remitly reference numbers for my transactions are r32135101644 and r36136709557.
