Nike Won't Accept Defective Shoes Back, No Help Offered

Your store sold my wife two gifts recently. One pair of shoes blistered and hurt after one wear. They rub too much due to stitching errors. Nike didn't acknowledge the problem or stand behind their product when I sent them the shoes for inspection. Given their price, I'm left with unwearable shoes. Unfortunately, Nike denies responsibility, the indifference to these quality issues worries me. It was just so disappointing, this big company should honor its brand reputation and refund or replace my broken items? If necessary, I'll pursue legal action to protect my consumer rights. I want a fast response and a Nike-worthy solution if you have any.
