Nautica Refused My Refund for Socks That Pilled After One Hour

I purchased a Nautica Unisex Black 5-Pack Socks set directly from Nautica's official store on Trendyol. The order was delivered on June 25, 2026. On July 8, 2026, I wore just one pair at home with slippers for approximately one hour. After a short time, I noticed that my foot was slipping inside the slipper. When I took the sock off, I saw that the sole had developed excessive pilling and a rough, speckled texture. On the same day, I wore socks from other brands under identical conditions without experiencing any issues, making the rapid deterioration of the Nautica socks especially disappointing.

I photographed both the worn pair and the unused socks, explained the problem in detail through Trendyol, and shipped the entire package back for a refund on July 9, 2026. After waiting about five days, I received a phone call from Trendyol on July 13, 2026, informing me that Nautica had inspected the product, found no manufacturing defect, and rejected my return request.

I trusted the Nautica brand when making this purchase, but I was extremely disappointed that a product costing approximately $11 showed visible deterioration after only one hour of light indoor use. Despite providing clear photographic evidence, Nautica refused to stand behind the quality of its product. I also find it difficult to accept the claim that there was no defect, especially since this exact product no longer appears to be available for sale on their website.

I request that my return be approved and that I receive a full refund of the $11 purchase price. I also ask Nautica to conduct a more thorough quality review of this product so that other customers do not experience the same issue with what appears to be a defective item.
