Nautica Refused an Even Exchange for a Gift Because of a Promotion

On July 25, 2026, I visited the Nautica store at Armada Shopping Mall in Ankara to exchange a gift I had received. Out of four Nautica items that were purchased as gifts for me, I wanted to exchange only one item for the exact same product in a different size and color.

At the store, I was told that the four items had originally been purchased as part of a promotional offer and that, because I wanted to exchange only one of them, I would have to pay an additional $13. However, the item I wanted to exchange and the replacement item had the same regular selling price. I personally checked the price tags in the store and confirmed that there was no price difference between the two products.

I was not the original purchaser of the items—I am simply the recipient of the gift. My request was only to exchange one item for the same product in a different size and color at the same price. Charging me extra solely because the original purchase was made under a promotion is unfair and inconsistent with reasonable customer service practices.

I experienced unnecessary inconvenience after being asked to pay $13 even though both products were identically priced. I request that Nautica complete the exchange for the same product in a different size and color without charging any additional fee. I also ask the company to provide a written explanation of its exchange policy in situations like this and resolve my complaint by honoring a fair, no-cost exchange for my gifted item.
