MyHeritage Ignores Free Trial Cancellation, Charges Student Full Annual Fee
I initiated a 1-month free trial membership on the MyHeritage platform. Prior to the expiration of the trial period and before any charge was drawn from my card, I completed the membership cancellation process directly on the website. Despite this, due to technical glitches or deliberate subscription traps within the company's system, my cancellation was not recorded in their system, and a single sum of 6,377.91 TRY was deducted from my account under the name of an annual membership fee without my consent, authorization, or knowledge.
Due to this system error, no cancellation confirmation email was sent to me either. As a student, I am currently facing severe financial hardship because all the funds in my account were withdrawn without my knowledge. I have not used any of the site's services since the date I cancelled the membership. Although I submitted a refund request to the company, they are dragging out the process, prolonging my distress.
I demand an immediate and full refund of the 6,377.91 TRY collected without my consent for a service I did not request or use. I expect my grievance to be resolved urgently and for the systemic issues in their cancellation process to be corrected.
