MyHeritage Charges Surprise $380 Annual Fee Following Free Trial Expiration
On July 8, 2026, following the free trial period offered by MyHeritage, a total of 13,176 TRY was deducted from my credit card without any prior notification or explicit authorization. I only discovered this charge directly on my credit card statement, having received no advance warning via email, SMS, or in-app notification.
I believe there was no clear or prominent notification provided at the start of the subscription indicating an automatic transition to a paid membership after the free trial, nor was my consent sought prior to the renewal or fee collection. Furthermore, responses from their help and support team take over a week, keeping me waiting without resolution. This transaction made under the name of MyHeritage on my card statements occurred entirely without my knowledge. My subscription/customer ID is 2026501426.
Therefore, I demand a full refund of the 13,176 TRY charged to my card and the immediate cancellation of my subscription. I request that this transaction be treated as an unauthorized and unnotified collection, and that my grievance be resolved as soon as possible.
