Miniso Staff Pressures Customer to Buy Scratched Product After Child Drops It

On October 2, 2025, around 5:15 PM, while looking at feeding containers for my daughter at the Miniso store in Optimum Mall, my daughter dropped the product on the floor, resulting in a crack in the lid. The product's lid was already scratched and worn, with damage that couldn't have been caused by the fall. Despite this, the staff forced me to pay for the product. I believe the product was a display item and should have been insured for situations like this. Additionally, the staff's attitude and manner were quite bad; they pressured me by saying they would have to pay for it themselves if I didn't. This product will be of no use to me whatsoever, and I was forced to pay $20.
The shopping experience was completely ruined due to this attitude I experienced with the store employees. I tried to reach customer service but couldn't get in touch because they were outside business hours. I also run a retail store and sell much more expensive products; my store's products are insured, and customers would never be treated this way in such a situation.
I request that my grievance be resolved, that the amount I paid be refunded, and that an apology be sent to me. I want to state that I will use all my legal rights.
