After my phone became locked, I had to perform a factory reset, which unfortunately erased all of my data—including the Microsoft Authenticator app. Since then, I’ve been completely locked out of my Microsoft accounts.
Every time I try to sign in, Microsoft sends a verification code to the very Authenticator app I no longer have access to, creating a frustrating and inescapable loop. I can’t access my email accounts, services, or any linked data because I’m stuck in their two-factor authentication system with no alternative recovery options.
I’ve tried reaching out to Microsoft support, but they’ve provided zero effective help. Their responses are generic and do nothing to actually solve the problem. For a company of this size, it’s shocking how poorly their account recovery system functions.
I urgently need Microsoft to offer a secure identity verification alternative, such as email or SMS backup, or allow me to reset the two-step verification method altogether. Right now, I'm completely locked out of my digital life, and it's causing major disruptions.
Microsoft, please take this issue seriously and provide real support for users locked out of Authenticator. I’m not the only one facing this—fix your system before more users lose access to their essential accounts.
