Merrell Shoe Developed a Heel Defect After Minimal Use

Approximately five to six months ago, I purchased a pair of Merrell shoes from the StarCity store in Yenibosna, Bahçelievler, Istanbul. After only a few uses, the inner heel area of the left shoe collapsed inward, creating a noticeable defect and causing significant discomfort while wearing the shoes. What makes this issue particularly concerning is that the right shoe, which has been used under exactly the same conditions, remains completely normal. Because the problem exists only in the left shoe, I believe it is the result of a manufacturing defect rather than user error.
I returned the shoes to the store where I purchased them, and the product was sent for inspection. About a week later, I personally visited the store to learn the outcome of the review. I was informed that the claim had been rejected on the grounds of “user error.” I was extremely disappointed by both the decision and the overall approach taken toward my complaint.
Although I purchased the shoes at a discounted price, I still paid approximately $73 for the product. A shoe in this price range should not develop such a serious defect after only a few uses. Furthermore, it is unacceptable that responsibility for the problem was placed entirely on me without a satisfactory explanation.
I request that the product be reexamined in a fair and impartial manner, with proper consideration given to the possibility of a manufacturing defect. I am seeking either a replacement pair of shoes or a full refund to resolve the inconvenience and dissatisfaction I have experienced.
