Merrell Rejected My Defective Shoe Claim Without Explanation

Approximately 9 months ago, I purchased a pair of Merrell Women’s Femmes shoes from the Mantadoor store located in Diyarbakır Winstown Mall for approximately $172. I bought these shoes because I trusted the outdoor quality and durability associated with the Merrell brand. However, within a short period of time, the shoes opened up in three different areas and became seriously deformed. They are now in such poor condition that they negatively affect my daily use.
Because of these issues, I sent the product in for inspection. However, without any detailed explanation, I simply received a “rejected” decision. No reason or technical justification was provided at all. Paying this much money for a pair of shoes that started falling apart in three different places within such a short time, only to have the company refuse responsibility without explanation, has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated.
I expect Merrell to take responsibility for this defective product and either replace the shoes or provide a full refund. If no proper action is taken, I am considering applying to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and, if necessary, pursuing legal action. At this stage, I am dissatisfied not only with the product itself but also with the brand’s overall approach to customer support, and because of this experience I no longer recommend the brand to people around me.
