New Mercedes CLA 200 AMG Has Severe Oil Consumption

June 26 4:02 AM

I purchased a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 AMG from Mercedes-Benz Mengerler Trakya, and shortly after delivery, the vehicle began experiencing a serious and ongoing engine oil consumption problem. Because this issue appeared at such extremely low mileage, I am deeply concerned that the vehicle had a hidden manufacturing or mechanical defect from the time it was delivered.

On October 21, 2025, when the vehicle had only 200–400 km on the odometer, it displayed its first low engine oil level warning. The same warning appeared again when the vehicle had approximately 1,250–1,400 km, at which point I brought it to the authorized Mercedes-Benz Mengerler Trakya Service Center. After inspecting the vehicle, I was informed that no external oil leak could be found. On November 7, 2025, the warning appeared for a third time. I returned the vehicle to the service center on November 14, 2025, where another inspection again found no external leak. The engine oil was topped off, and the vehicle was returned to me.

On April 30, 2026, at approximately 4,000–4,100 km, the vehicle displayed the low oil warning for the fourth time, forcing me to add 1 liter of Mercedes-Benz-approved engine oil myself. Then, on June 8, 2026, at approximately 7,000 km, the warning appeared for a fifth time, requiring another 1 liter of oil. In total, despite having only about 7,000 km of use, the vehicle has required approximately 5 liters of additional engine oil.

The vehicle is currently at Mengerler Trakya, and the excessive oil consumption problem remains unresolved. Although the authorized service center has repeatedly confirmed that there is no external oil leak, they have not identified or repaired the underlying cause. I have opened multiple customer service cases with Mercedes-Benz, but I have not received a permanent or satisfactory solution. I have now been informed that the vehicle will remain at the dealership for approximately 15–20 days while technicians perform an additional 2,000 km test drive.

Given these circumstances, I request that my vehicle be recognized as defective under the applicable warranty and consumer protection provisions. If necessary, I am willing to pay any reasonable price difference to receive a replacement vehicle that is free of defects. I also request that Mercedes-Benz provide a clear written explanation acknowledging the issue and explaining how it will be resolved. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached, I intend to pursue all legal remedies available to me.
