Turkish Airlines Damaged My Suitcase and Won't Compensate

I flew on June 17th. I had bought a new suitcase and was using it for the second time when THY damaged it. I received my... luggage wrapped entirely in stretch film. I went to the baggage complaint section and asked why it was torn, they said it was wrapped as a precaution. I deeply regret not opening
