MAC Glow Play Blush Had a Bad Smell Right Out of the Box

On June 7, 2026, I purchased a MAC Glow Play Cushiony Blush in the shade Blush, Please from the MAC Cosmetics store at Real AVM in Adana. I paid approximately $50 for the product. The very first time I used it, I noticed a very strong, unpleasant odor as soon as I applied it to my face. The smell reminded me of an expired cosmetic product, which immediately made me believe that the blush might be defective or spoiled.
To make sure I was not simply imagining the odor, I asked three different customers in the store to smell the product. None of them knew me, yet all three independently agreed that the blush had an unusual and unpleasant smell. We also compared it with another blush at the same time, and that product had no noticeable odor at all. This made it clear to me that the blush I purchased was not normal and likely had a quality issue.
When I reported the problem to the store staff, they were initially understanding. The store manager told me that I would receive a call the following day. Instead, I was contacted by the assistant manager, who informed me that the product had no defect and that they would not offer a refund or replacement. What concerns me most is that I specifically agreed to have the product inspected or even sent for laboratory testing if necessary, yet I was given a negative decision without the product ever being examined. If management has the authority to reject a claim without an inspection, I believe they should also have the authority to resolve legitimate customer concerns fairly.
Being told that there was "nothing wrong" with a product that both I and several unrelated customers immediately recognized as having an abnormal odor made me feel ignored and undervalued as a customer. The possibility of a manufacturing or ingredient-related issue does not appear to have been considered at all, even though the product had this odor from the very first day.
My purchase is registered in the MAC Cosmetics system under the phone number 0542*49. I am not requesting a refund. I simply want this defective blush to be replaced with a new one of the same product. I respectfully ask that the product be properly inspected, tested if necessary, and that my replacement request be handled with customer satisfaction and product quality in mind.
