Mac Cosmetics Refused My Unopened Product Return Despite Online Policy Allowing It


I bought some products from Mac Cosmetics. I wanted to return them within a couple of hours, but the store told me they could not accept the return due to hygienic reasons. I was quite surprised because I had not even opened the products, and they were still in their original packaging. However, on the online store, consumers have the right to return such products. It feels unfair to have different return policies depending on where the purchase is made. I would like Mac Cosmetics to explain why this policy applies to physical stores but is different in the online store.
