The story begins with our collision with a dog that ran out from the median strip in Ankara, Turkey, with a 2023 Tesla Model Y. We called Tesla Service, and they told us that if it is not an electromechanical issue, they do not deal with it and that we should go to a body shop on our own. So, we go to the only authorized body shop in Ankara and surrounding provinces, Intercity Support. After the assessment, they told us that a total of 8 parts need to be replaced: the front bumper, front bumper left fog light, front bumper lower grille, front bumper bat plastic, front bumper lower reinforcement, left front fender liner, left front fender, and left front bumper bracket. So, are the parts available? No. When will they arrive? Within a few months. The parts were ordered on 15.05.2024, but we only learned from Tesla headquarters on 24.05.2024 that the parts would arrive on 13.06.2024, four weeks after the order. We communicated with the employees at Tesla Service in Ankara, expressing that a four-week procurement period is too long and requesting a replacement vehicle. They informed us that they can provide a replacement vehicle in such extraordinary circumstances but need permission from the headquarters. We then start corresponding with [email protected]. After a week of correspondence, in summary, not only do they fail to provide a replacement vehicle, but they also can't expedite the parts procurement process and eventually stop responding to emails altogether. They simply do not care. (All emails were CC'd to [email protected]). If you call the service, they direct you to this email; if you email this address, they do not respond. No one takes responsibility. There is a service, but they do not deal with your problem. They have created a system to pass the buck. It is our mistake to order and buy a car with blind faith as soon as it arrives in Turkey. If you buy a Tesla, make sure you do not have an accident. Do not think that Tesla, a global brand based in the USA with service centers in Ankara and Istanbul, will stand behind their products and not let their customers suffer.
