I have been using my Leatherman Super Tool 200 for 11 years, but over time, a gap formed in the pliers, making it impossible to cut cables. When I contacted Leatherman’s authorized service, they told me that this model is no longer in production and cannot be repaired. Instead, they offered me a trade-in deal, where I could choose a new model and pay an additional fee.
At the time, the model I wanted cost ₺2,300, and they offered me ₺1,500 for my old tool. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford it then. Now that I want to proceed, the price of the new model has increased to ₺3,149, and they are asking me to pay ₺1,600 extra instead. This means my old tool has lost value, while the new one has become more expensive, which feels completely unfair.
Leatherman claims to offer a 25-year warranty, and under this policy, my tool should be replaced for free. A brand known for its quality and commitment to customers should not handle warranty claims this way. Leatherman Türkiye, please resolve this issue fairly and honor your guarantee!
