JBL GO 4 Bluetooth Disconnects Beyond 4 Meters Outdoors

I recently bought the JBL GO 4 speaker with high expectations, but I’m already regretting my purchase. I use it mainly for bird photography in outdoor settings, where I need reliable Bluetooth performance at a distance. Unfortunately, the speaker completely fails in that regard. As soon as I move just 4 meters away, the Bluetooth connection drops, and the sound starts playing from my phone instead of the speaker.

This completely ruins my setup, especially when I’m in camouflage trying not to disturb wildlife. I’m forced to break cover just to restart the speaker, which defeats the entire purpose of using it in the field. I’ve tried testing it in multiple environments, and the issue is consistent—it clearly can’t handle even short-range outdoor use.

For a product that cost me nearly ₺2000, I expected much better performance. JBL heavily markets the GO 4 as a portable speaker fit for outdoor adventures, but it doesn’t live up to those claims at all. I’m extremely disappointed and feel like I wasted my money. I urgently request a product exchange or a full refund. This speaker is not delivering what it promised, and JBL needs to take responsibility.
