Please Help Me! ATM Kept Most of My Deposit Without Refund
On June 26, 2025, I tried to deposit ₺12,400 into an İş Bankası ATM located on Kuşdili Street in Kadıköy, but the machine was not working. So I decided to use the adjacent Yapı Kredi ATM. It accepted my card, and I placed the full amount—₺12,400—into the machine. Suddenly, the ATM gave an error, swallowed the money, and shut down completely. I immediately contacted both İş Bankası (account no: TR37 0006 4000 0*** 1720 35** 78) and Yapı Kredi Bank to report the incident. They asked for the ATM’s serial numbers and photos, which I provided, and explained that the machine malfunctioned after I deposited the cash. They said they would look into it. Two weeks have passed, and Yapı Kredi has only transferred ₺2,000 to my account, claiming that was the amount recovered. However, I clearly deposited ₺12,400. The remaining ₺10,400 is still missing, and Yapı Kredi stated that this was all they deemed appropriate to return. I am filing complaints against both Yapı Kredi and İş Bankası. I demand that the missing ₺10,400 be deposited into my account and that the ATM camera footage be reviewed to verify the amount I deposited. I put in a full stack of cash—how can they claim it was only ₺2,000? They are trying to take my money, and I want my rightful amount back. Please help me.
