Hi there, On January 8, I enrolled in ILAC College in Canada. I selected this institution and used VFS Global's consulting services to finish all the necessary procedures, including registration and visa applications. Everything about the registration and payment phases went without a hitch. These highly institutionalised educational institutions, however, do not assist their students in any manner when it comes to cancelling their courses and receiving a refund. I told the school's student affairs manager that I was departing on March 26, 2024, during our conversation. After vocally announcing my decision, I was informed that my last day of classes would be March 29 and that I needed to speak with VFS Global about the money issue. When I messaged my consultant that same day (March 26, 2024) to let her know what was going on, she informed me that a 4045 CAD refund will be sent on April 1, 2024. That was the last time we spoke before I boarded my return flight. I should note that I stopped attending school on March 26, 2024, following my verbal announcement. Later, on April 13, I received an email from ILAC College Vancouver informing me that we needed to have a Zoom meeting approximately one hour before we took off. They informed me during the meeting that in order for them to handle the refund, I would have to sign a contract; otherwise, my education would be discontinued and the amount of the return would be determined. I initially rejected this, and about three weeks later, I signed the contract. They informed me, "You have completed 30% of your education, and we can no longer give you a refund," after this amount of time had passed. Why did they force me to drop out of school back then? Why did I think I would get my tuition money back when I went back to my home country? (Not by education, mind you. It's called education, but it's really just preschool-level material presented in nonsense.) I returned to my country on April 13, but I haven't received a reimbursement in months. I think my consultant is holding me up. (She is a very good person generally, and I like her; but, she did not provide me with enough assistance during this procedure.) I ask that VFS Global and ILAC settle this matter and return the unfairly obtained funds from me.
