No Support from IKEA for the Couch & Single Bed Discontinued Before 10 Years

The Couch & Single Bed we bought from IKEA in 2014 and enjoyed for years developed a fault two years ago. We realized the product is no longer in stock, and IKEA doesn't produce it anymore. However, IKEA customer service, being sensitive to the issue, stood by the customer and didn't leave the product, which they provided a 10-year warranty for, unsupported. They sent a team from the Kartal Store to assess the issue, took a part for repair, and brought it back a week later (December 2020). When the same fault recurred this year, we sought help again, but this time there was no response. The Kartal branch claimed there was no record of such service, behaving as if it never happened. They stated that such a service shouldn't have been provided in the first place, checked the invoice details, and finally mentioned that the customer could only complain to the Consumer Arbitration Board with the invoice. Selling a product with a 10-year warranty and leaving the customer without a solution because it's no longer in production and available for sale doesn't reflect well on IKEA. We expect a resolution to the problem due to the 10-year warranty coverage of a product that undeniably belongs to IKEA. If the same product were available, we would have obtained it from the store without hesitation and wouldn't have bothered IKEA customer service. We believe it's beneficial for all customers to be aware of this changing approach in IKEA's customer relations.
