Ikea's Insensitive Treatment of Disabled Child at Children's Event Disappoints
Ikea organized a children's event for April 23rd, which I attended on April 22nd with my disabled child. Other kids got balloons, but my kid had to wait. Face painting was available, and balloons were on the table. I asked if my child could have a balloon, but they refused, despite my child's cries. I offered to blow up the balloon myself because my child couldn't stand it any longer, but they declined. They didn't seem to be able to spare even one balloon. They gave my child a white t-shirt and a male attendant on Children's Day. I hope that by sharing this, people will be more understanding of children, particularly those born with disabilities. Thank you.
