NOVA Investment Platform Withdrawal Issue and Payment Dispute
I opened a trading account with NOVA investment company and deposited 90,000 Ugandan shillings on 10 August 2026 and another 90,000 Ugandan shillings on 12 August 2026, for a total of 180,000 Ugandan shillings. After trading for about a week, I decided to withdraw my money. On 19 August 2026, between around 8:54 pm and 9:10 pm, I requested a withdrawal from my NOVA trading account. The company did not pay my withdrawal and instead told me that I had to deposit more money into my account so that they could pay what they called a URA tax on my behalf. I still have a lot of money showing in my NOVA account balance that they could deduct this tax from, but they refused to do so and insisted I must send new money first. I contacted their representative on WhatsApp, where the name appears only as “SYSMAINT” and no saved contact details are visible. The person just kept repeating the same message that I must first deposit money for this URA tax, without giving any clear explanation or solution. Because they are holding my funds, refusing to pay my withdrawal, and demanding new deposits for a so‑called tax while there is already money in my account, I have concluded that this operation is not genuine and that they are cheating people out of their money. I am requesting that my full balance and deposits be paid out to me immediately without any further conditions and that this situation be investigated so that other people are warned and do not fall into the same problem.
