Reservations Made on Hotels.com for Nonexistent Apartments

We intended to rent two separate apartments in Alanya for two families on July 30th. We paid with credit cards, but the transaction did not appear on our statements. We were able to reach a customer representative via international call after struggling to find a phone number. They assured us that the reservation had been confirmed and that there would be no problems. However, when we arrived on July 30th, there were no apartments available and no one to assist us. We were stranded in the middle of the summer, forced to choose between overpriced options and subpar accommodations. This was our first and most certainly last time using this service. I'm not sure which irritates me more: the disgraceful treatment or the kilometers we wasted. This ostensibly reliable platform turned out to be a nightmare, leaving two families desperate and miserable in a strange place with 40-degree heat. Be cautious and stay away from this company at all costs!
