Hotels.com Unexpected Reservation Cancellation

On August 22, 2023, I booked a one-night stay at Özgürhan Hotel in Side, Antalya through Hotels.com. I paid 326 TL for a September 1 check-in and September 2 check-out. Excited for my trip, I called Özgürhan Hotel to confirm the reservation. To my disbelief, the representative claimed my payment was insufficient and that my booking was invalid. I questioned why they had shared their contact details and visuals if they weren't affiliated with such agencies. Their response? 'We don't collaborate with that agency.' Both Hotels.com and Özgürhan Hotel left me stranded due to the fee I paid through the agency, declaring that my reservation wouldn't be honored. This double disappointment prompted me to voice my grievances against both Hotels.com and Özgürhan Hotel. Travelers beware: my nightmare could be yours too.
