Hotels.com Customer service Overcharged and Misled

I purchased a 2-night stay with reservation number 72552984872873 for May 19-21. Despite a payment of 2,332.80 TL, my card was charged 2,407.18 TL, constituting my first issue. The second problem arose when I was sent to a hotel completely different from the one depicted in the visuals. I was placed in a room converted from an abandoned storage area, a far cry from the sea-view room I had paid for—a higher-tier option with an attractive bathroom, as shown in the images. The reality was a tiny, approximately 10-square-meter room, lacking a bathtub, reeking of sewage and dampness. It was unbearable, and we had to leave after just two hours, waking up feeling sick from the smell. I entered the hotel at 23:30 and left by 01:30, completely ruining my entire vacation. When I tried to report the situation to Hotels.com, the online representative promised a phone call. Later, I received a call from an international number with someone speaking English. I requested Turkish support, but the person on the line didn't speak Turkish. When I informed the online representative, they dismissed the conversation without much concern. In short, there is no accountability—just distress. Their system is terrible. Stay away and refrain from making any purchases. I've lost my money, time, and peace of mind. Don't let others go through this. I will continue to file complaints, including through CIMER.
